Cape Ember Coffee Co. began with a love for two things: exceptional coffee and the extraordinary beauty of South Africa.
As a family, our journey brought us from the Eastern Cape to the Western Cape, where we quickly fell in love with the landscapes that surrounded us. From the rugged mountains and rolling fynbos-covered hills to the forests of the Garden Route and the vast horizons of the Karoo, we found ourselves continually inspired by the beauty, diversity, and grandeur of God’s creation.
Where coffee and landscape converge
At the same time, coffee had become an important part of our lives. Through years of serving people, building relationships, and sharing meaningful conversations around café tables, we came to appreciate coffee’s unique ability to bring people together.
Yet we often found ourselves searching for something more. We longed for coffees with greater character, depth, and distinction — coffees that would leave a lasting impression long after the final sip.
That search became the inspiration behind Cape Ember Coffee Co.
We set out to create a collection of coffees that capture the spirit of the landscapes we love. Each blend is thoughtfully developed to reflect the unique character of a place, inviting you to experience South Africa through flavour, aroma, and story.

For us, the ember became a symbol of restoration, resilience, and hope.
